2024 Marching Lions
The 2024 Marching Lions have ended a remarkable season competing in the MMBA Marching Band Competitions.
The Marching Lions kicked off the season earning First Place at the MMBA Competition hosted at Century HS. They worked hard to earn increasingly higher scores throughout the season and earned Caption Awards at States for Best Percussion, Best Color Guard, Best Music, and Best Effect.
Walkersville High School is proud to have hosted the MMBA Competition on October 5th at the Walkersville High School this year, and grateful to all of the schools who participated for an incredible day of music. We've enjoyed everyone's band shows this year!
Walkersville Marching Lions finished a remarkable 2024 season competing in the MMBA finals, going on to take their place as State Champions in the 1A Division at States hosted at Towson University.

Grab dinner at participating restaurants around Frederick. A portion of the proceeds for your orders support WHS Music!

Attend school concerts
Admission to performances is generally* FREE but the boosters will be there with concessions and fun music booster merch.
Check the performance schedule for concert dates and times.
Music Booster concessions
Look for music boosters selling concessions, merchandise, and Spirit Wear at music concerts events.
Look for ways to donate and support the Music boosters at events. Keep an eye out for the Drum!

We are dedicated to creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment, where students can explore various genres, styles, and instruments, encouraging them to broaden their musical horizons. Our ultimate goal is to empower our students to become well-rounded musicians, critical thinkers, and engaged members of their communities, equipped with the tools and knowledge to excel in their musical pursuits and beyond.
